About Center for Global Health Equity’s Data Collaborative Archive

The Center for Global Health Equity’s Data Collaborative Archive (CGHE - DCA) is a publicly available data archive housing curated sets of global health data. Together with the broader data augmentation services offered by the CGHE’s Data Collaborative, the archive’s goal is to increase the accessibility, usability, and shareability of data for partners around the globe.

Although we live in a data-rich world, the ecosystems [i.e. operational structures, approaches, and expertise] that enable the equitable identification, application, and access to data are lacking. This can be especially challenging in the field of global health, where unique historical, cultural, and regulatory contexts further complicate data use. The ability to collaboratively learn from all partners while using data effectively plays a critical role in helping us understand and improve the global health challenges of our times. To address these issues, the Center for Global Health Equity created the Data Collaborative, which is a community that collects, shares, and harmonizes health data in more equitable and more effective ways.
